I did a little bit of informal polling, meditated, and consulted the magic 8-ball for advice.
I think I have worked out a few things, the direction where I am taking a few projects.
I suppose that I am a goal-oriented person.
I don’t like farting around aimlessly very much.
A lot of my music & artistic “career” has been mostly doing that, unfortunately.
Breaking bad habits has been a struggle for me, being a bit obsessive-compulsive as I am.
Mike Nobody, Mike Damn Nobody, the Island of Misfit Noise, and Thee Urban SpaceCat, are separate, but interconnected, projects of mine.
I think, when I begin booking live performances again, I will bill both Mike Nobody and the Island of Misfit Noise (or some other group identity) separately.
Although I am in both projects they have separate identities, even when we perform the same songs together.
I will probably appear alone at first, then introduce other participants as the “next band”, which I will still be performing in.
So, the IOMN can play “covers” of Mike Nobody songs sometimes, or include songs exclusive to themselves.
I will just be an opening act for my other bands and projects.
This has the added benefit of insuring that I can decide who gets on the bill during that show, instead of hoping that the club owner will hook us up with a good lineup.
It is no fun getting booked with a dozen other bands, with nothing in common, splitting a $5 dollar door charge.

Thee Urban SpaceCat (RecycleTape CassetteZine) was always intended to be based around the letters and packages that I have been sending to friends for years and years.
Figuring out what that actually means in present-day terms has been a slow process.
But, I think I have a better footing on what I am doing with that.
I am using the pen pal letters that I exchange now as a foundation to build up from.
Then, I can add anything else that I want on top of that.
This means readers can give me more information to respond to, generating more material in the process.
The audio portion cannot be a mixtape, like I usually make for friends.
I do not want to get tangled up in copyright problems any more than I have to.
I already utilize sampling and collage in a lot of my work, anyway.
I was harassed by Disney’s lawyers a couple of years ago and do not want to go through that again if I can help it.
If anyone volunteers their work to be included in the zine I may consider it.
